Natural Soap Making Workshop
Join local soap makers Geneva and Jack at the Wellington Apothecary for a fun and creative workshop.
Learn the basics of the traditional cold process soap making method, allowing you to make beautiful, all natural and skin-friendly soaps at home. The cold process method is ideal if you want to know exactly what is going into your soaps, be able to create beautiful designs, with an end result that is gentle and skin friendly. Using high quality oils such as olive, coconut and rice bran, combined with beautiful botanicals and natural clays, participants will get to experience and gain confidence in the whole process. Each participant will get to take home a natural soap that they have helped create.
Jack and Geneva run an honesty stall outside their home in Thorndon, Wellington, and they create and sell gentle all natural soaps in small batches - which you will soon find at the Wellington Apothecary and on instagram @56hobson. When they’re not making soap, Geneva is a counsellor and Jack works in policy. They are looking forward to showing you what they know!

Cost $80 per person
Note Long sleeves (covering the wrist), long pants and closed shoes are required for this workshop. If you have long hair, it will need to be tied back. Safety equipment will be provided for you on the night.
