The Way of Tea is a traditional Japanese art, a ritual that embodies the mindful practice of harmony and tranquility in everyday life.

Our Herbal Tea Ritual is a fusion of the Way of Tea and herbal medicine, bringing traditional knowledge into the modern world. You will be expertly guided by our resident herbalist, Manami Komai, into the art of mindful herbal tea blending.

You will discover the therapeutic qualities and unique tastes of 9 medicinal herbs, with a focus on the qualities of calming, grounding, uplifting, healing, balancing and energising. From these, you will choose your favourites to blend together into your own unique tisane – a medicinal infusion.

Manami will close the workshop with a guided meditation while you infuse and taste your new herbal blend. You will leave with a tranquil mind, 50g of your tisane, a stainless steel infuser, and the embodied experience of this mindful ritual to invoke every time you brew your blend

When 5:30, Thursday, 18th of April. Duration 1.5 - 2 Hours.

Where Wellington Apothecary 110a+b Cuba Street, Te Aro, Wellington
