Beeswax Tea Light Candles

Natural beeswax candles made locally by the good people at National Candles in Te Aro, Wellington.

8 hour burn time for each candle. Size is approx 2.5 (deep) x 3.5 (diameter) cm.

50% Beeswax / 50% Paraffin

Always place and burn tealights in a snug heat-resistant holder to help disperse heat safely and evenly. 

Watch for carbon build-up ('mushrooming' wicks) - trim your wick before each use to avoid an oversized wick or carbon build up.

Keep away from draughts, which can cause the flame to flicker, lean or flare unpredictably.

Never group tealights too closely- the heat from one can affect its neighbours and intensify the burn

Place and burn on a flat, even surface- an uneven surface can cause the wax to pool unevenly and concentrate the heat on one side of the cup. 

Use caution with reflective or enclosed containers: reflective containers can reflect heat back into the tealight cup, increasing the temperature. Ensure holders are ventilated and heat-safe.
