Discover the ‘art’ of drawing as a wellness tool, drawing out your inner sanctuary and your subconscious and heart as a source for self-care.

Included in your workshop

You will be guided by Lara Phillips, a trained creative facilitator in Interactive Drawing Therapy, through drawing prompts (similar to a guided meditation or journaling) to draw out where you are at and draw out your own inner guidance. No art skills are needed, more simple mark making.

This gentle yet powerful tool uses drawing and writing as a way to access your subconscious and to listen to your heart rather than your head for guidance. A tool often used in therapy, it is made accessible for self-care and community wellness through these workshops.

Complimentary herbal tea and chocolate provided. All attendees take home a gift bag including a Draw It Out booklet of prompts and some Wellington Apothecary goodies.

“We all have the wisdom within to help ourselves, if given the space.

About Lara

Lara Phillips is a creative facilitator trained in Interactive Drawing Therapy. Through her background in creative copywriting, design and communication, she shares drawing and writing as a mode for wellness and self-care, to promote preventative and proactive mental health measures through creativity. Her business Draw It Out uses a tool called Interactive Drawing Therapy to help people process what they are going through, draw out where they are at and draw out their inner guidance. She very clearly sits in the wellness space rather than therapy, as she is passionate about creating the space for people to tap into their own inner resources and insights. Drawing opens our subconscious in a way that can be enlightening for personal growth.

Liability disclaimer

Draw It Out offers creativity for wellbeing. It is not intended as therapy nor does it replace counselling, therapy, or any other medical or clinical professional help. Participants are guided to draw out where they are at, whilst drawing out their own inner resources for support and guidance. Participants understand it is their own responsibility to manage their mental and physical health during sessions, to opt in and out of activities as they see fit, and make the facilitator aware if further support is required.
