Clove Essential Oil
Clove Bud has a spicy, woody and sweet scent, often with a sharp balsamic quality. It contains high levels of the constituent eugenol, which is what makes it a potent antiseptic and analgesic essential oil. Clove oil is commonly used in dentistry for its ability to numb the gums, as well as treating or preventing infection of the gums. Clove Bud is a potent essential oil to be used with caution. It is potentially a skin irritant and has skin sensitising effects, be sure to dilute it sufficiently if using it topically and always patch test before use.
