Bentonite is a natural inert clay that was formed from volcanic activity during the Cretaceous period approximately 100 million years ago. Long periods of repeated eruptions laid ash into the sea where it was chemically altered and consolidated into layers of clay. Over time the ground folded and lifted thrusting up the clay and silt to form deposits.
Suitable for Bentonite clay can be use to purify, exfoliate and heal problem skin, such as eczema or acne.
Directions To use mix 1 part clay to 2-3 parts water and leave aside for 30 minutes. Mash out the lumps with a spatula or in a blender and apply to skin. Leave on the skin for 10 to 20 minutes, and no longer than 30 minutes. Remove with a warm wet cloth and follow with a nourishing face oil massage.
Ingredients Sodium Bentonite: 90% montmorillonite and 10% other minerals; the most abundant being feldspar, selenite, quartz, calcite and gypsum.
