Wildcrafted Kawakawa Hydrosol

Hydrosols are aromatic and therapeutic steam distilled extractions of a plants cellular water. 

Kawakawa is one of the most important medicinal plants native to New Zealand and is recognisable by its holey, heart shaped leaves. Preparations made from the mature leaves are used in traditional rongoā in cases of eczema, dermatitis and minor wounds to reduce inflammation. The inflammatory activity is attributed to myristicin & elemicin found in its volatile oils. Kawakawa is known to prevent infection, soothe pain, increase circulation and aid healing.

A medicinal water extract of New Zealand native kawakawa leaves. Traditionally used to soothe inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema, acne, rashes, bites or minor skin infections. 

Suitable for All skin types, especially dry, inflamed and sensitive skin.
